Kano Inlet, Haida Gwaii

I don't know quite where to start on this one!!  Thanks to Dave Kimble and Oak Bay Marine Group, I was able to have a once in a lifetime chance to fish the famous Kano Inlet on the West coast of Haida Gwaii!  Not sure what one word would describe the adventure but lets just use awesome for now.

I am going to do a full story on this trip, I feel it incumbent upon me due to the amazing setup that Oak Bay has in that Inlet.  But for now, lets just say that Dave and I limited out on almost everything.  What really struck me about the salmon were how chrome they were, and the number of fish that are out there.  We came home shy 2 Coho and 1 hali but, Dave made up for that with a whopper 134 lb hali!!  That took a half day by the time it was boated and we motored the hour back to the main ship to get it looked after.  I can't go into all what he did as he is writing an article in two mags about the trip so I'll have to leave him with his cannon fodder and I'll just shoot mine!
