JayT was out fishing again, launching from the El. Here`s his report with some real good tips on just how he`s getting the fish he is:
``Have been out on Okanagan a few times since my last report . If you can HACK the boats , wake boarders. tubers & the heat . The fishing has been pretty good for both rainbows and Kokanee . With all the boat traffic and heat I have been trolling really deep for the rainbows . Trolling down at 75 and 85 feet for the bows and 50 feet for the koks. The only things that are working really well are Lyman plugs and coyote spoons in green and white for the bows . For the koks. a small mini dodger and a small pink apex tipped with a couple of maggots is doing the trick. Oh and make sure you use a rubber snubber on the koks or you will be loosing them on the way up to the boat. Most of the fish are coming out of really deep water out towards Westbank . One thing that is really paying off when your trolling down deep is every once in a while give your kicker a short blast of speed this is when I am getting most of my bites . The boat launch at the Eldorado has been a ZOO so be prepared to wait your turn. When I got in yesterday there was a big line up of boats trying to launch. Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun salmon fishing. Tight Lines JAY T` (photo) (photo)
